“I first met Maria Puglisi while attending a four-day Train-the-Trainer series for child welfare professionals. Although her background isn't in social work, I was impressed with her ability to facilitate these sessions in a way that clearly conveyed key concepts and the underlying values. She demonstrated a thorough understanding of the material and used her communications expertise to share the knowledge and tools required for success. She encouraged active participation and emphasized applied learning. Maria's engaging, motivational style also held the group's attention and created a safe space for sharing and professional development.
I subsequently hired Right Tree Consulting to support Casey Family Program's work in Pennsylvania focused on achieving permanency for young people in foster care. For two years, she worked closely with Casey's local program partners to help introduce our Permanency Roundtable model to stakeholders in 67 counties across the state. In this role, Maria designed and facilitated quarterly planning sessions, developed tools and templates, and delivered workshops, all of which strengthened our partner's capacity to implement and sustain this important initiative.
